THE MISSION
 
The mission of The 9-TEN-11 Project is to provide a forum for Keene State College students to engage in civil discourse about their experiences with September 11, 2001, and to share their reflections with the support of faculty and staff.
 
Events:
September 11, 2011

The Keene State College commemoration of the tenth anniversary of the September 11, 2001 events will be held on September 11, 2011, 4-5 pm in the Mabel Brown Room in the L.P. Young Student Center. 

Student remembrances will include an alumni and veteran, current students and other perspectives.  Stories will include student oral history selections.  Dance and musical expressions are on the program as well as the reading of a children's book on the event.

The sponsors are the Office of the President, KSC Counseling Center, L.P. Young Student Center, and the 9-TEN-11 Project.  For more information, contact Jenn Ferrell  jferrell1@keene.edu.

In the Thick of It:  An Anthropologist's Intersections with Post-9/11 American National Security 
Dr. Kerry Fosher
Security Anthropologist
 
Dr. Fosher will make connections between The 9-TEN-11 Project and her work with the military, which has been to help them understand the culture within the regions they work. The event will begin with excerpts from the students' work, and their thoughts on how this project has engaged them.

An Evening of Dance
An Evening of Dance includes Buildings(v.), choreographed by Marcia Murdock and William Seigh, featuring an ensemble of 13 student performers. The piece examines architecture as form in space, as well as context for memory and experience.
